What you will do

• Own the entire database stack, from core BSS/OSS/NOC modules to PostgreSQL stores.
• Build end-to-end backup, restoration, and disaster-recovery frameworks for PostgreSQL clusters.
• Optimize performance through index strategies, query tuning, and table partitioning for high-throughput data.
• Develop bulk data pipelines for large-scale imports, migrations, and timed purges of subscriber records.
• Design and enforce data handling, retention, and archival policies aligned with GDPR and SLAs.
• Implement monitoring dashboards using Prometheus and Grafana for database KPIs.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on PostgreSQL administration (replication, configuration, vacuum tuning).
• Proven experience with backup/restore tools such as pg_dump, pg_basebackup, and WAL archiving.
• Proficiency in query performance analysis using EXPLAIN/ANALYZE and index design.
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation of backup and bulk-load utilities.
• Experience with containerized database deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work independently in a distributed, async-first team.

Nice to have

• Experience with telecoms BSS/OSS platforms (billing, subscription management).
• Familiarity with network-element databases like HSS, OCS, PCRF, or SMSC.
• Experience with GDPR subscriber data compliance in EU jurisdictions.
• Exposure to mediation layer data formats (ASN.1, IPDR, Diameter AVPs).
