Location: Hybrid in Christchurch, New Zealand (must work from office 3+ days per week)

What you will do
- Lead the end-to-end design process for innovative software products, from initial ideation to final execution.
- Partner with Product Managers to conduct user research, define personas, and build behavioral models.
- Drive UX testing initiatives to validate design concepts and iteratively incorporate user feedback.
- Establish strategic design methodologies and UX approaches to be used across all product activities.
- Create high-fidelity wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes using Figma.
- Mentor junior designers and champion User-Centered Design (UCD) principles across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Product Design or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a Product Design team within a commercial software product company.
- Proven ability to lead direct interactions with users and customers to understand complex software domains.
- Strong track record of building high-trust relationships with Product Management and Engineering teams.
- Ability to autonomously plan and monitor design deliverables and resolve complex professional issues.
- Must be based in or able to work from the Christchurch, New Zealand office at least 3 days per week.
