TL;DR
Lead Product Designer (SaaS): Delivering end-to-end UX for Timely across desktop, mobile, responsive web, and iOS with an accent on human-centred design, cross-product experiences, and research-driven product decisions. Focus on leading discovery through optimisation, measuring design impact, mentoring designers, and improving design practices across complex product ecosystems.
Location: Remote, anywhere in New Zealand. The role is full-time and permanent; candidates must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. Office spaces are available in Auckland, Wellington, and Dunedin.

What you will do
- Lead end-to-end product design for Timely across desktop and mobile, from discovery through delivery and optimisation.
- Design complex, user-focused SaaS products using research and insights to solve meaningful customer problems.
- Identify opportunities for seamless cross-product experiences serving multiple user groups.
- Lead UX activities and collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Research.
- Conduct UX research, define success metrics, and measure design impact through data and analytics.
- Mentor designers and stakeholders while improving design practices and team capability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in SaaS product design and a strong portfolio of impactful work.
- Experience leading user-centred design from research and problem definition through delivery and measurement.
- Expertise in UX research, journey mapping, prototyping, testing, analytics, and ideation.
- Experience designing complex cross-product experiences for responsive web and iOS platforms.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and deliver pragmatic, iterative solutions in fast-paced agile environments.
