What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend infrastructure, APIs, and services.
• Own the architecture and implementation of distributed systems for high-volume, low-latency APIs.
• Solve hard scalability, latency, and performance problems in live production systems.
• Lead system design discussions to shape the direction of the backend architecture.
• Establish best practices for throughput, reliability, and latency.
• Validate performance through automated testing, benchmarking, and production-driven improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience designing, building, and scaling core backend components.
• Production experience with Java and Rust.
• Experience in cloud-native environments, particularly AWS.
• Ability to build highly available and scalable distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Web3 experience.
• Experience in startups or having founded a company/built side projects.
• Experience with managed Kubernetes platforms such as Amazon EKS.
