What you will do
- Create and implement technical elements of game features in collaboration with technical directors and programmers.
- Act as a technical expert on specific topics, overseeing tools, documentation, and promoting best practices.
- Perform data optimization and validation to ensure technical standards and budgets are respected.
- Conduct advanced debugging of data throughout the production cycle.
- Prototype gameplay features and implement complex, abstract, or game-wide design elements.
- Provide regular feedback to design directors on improving tools and methodologies.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in game or level design with a technical focus.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas using technical language effectively.
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills with a user-oriented mindset.
- Passion for understanding the underlying mechanics of how systems work.
Nice to have
- Experience with various game engines and platforms.
- Proficiency with a range of 2D/3D design software.
- Experience in programming or scripting.
