Shopify Practice Director (Shopify Plus)

What you will do

• Own the technical vision, architecture standards, and technology strategy for the enterprise Shopify Plus practice.
• Lead end-to-end commerce ecosystem design across Shopify Plus, ERP, search, CDP/CRM, PIM, OMS, and payment platforms.
• Oversee delivery quality, scalability, governance, risk management, KPIs, and technical escalations across global teams.
• Lead technical discovery, solutioning, estimation, architecture design, proposals, and client-facing sales engagements.
• Build, mentor, retain, and develop Shopify architects, engineers, solution leads, and consultants across regions.
• Create Shopify playbooks, certification programs, case studies, reusable architecture assets, and internal enablement materials.

Requirements

• Applicants must be from Ontario or Québec.
• 10+ years of enterprise technology leadership experience in consulting, systems integration, or an agency environment, including 3–4 years with Shopify Plus or a comparable enterprise commerce platform.
• Hands-on expertise in Shopify Plus, Shopify Functions, Checkout Extensibility, Markets Pro, B2B, headless/composable commerce, and the Shopify app ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of ERP integrations such as SAP, Oracle, and NetSuite; enterprise search; CDPs; PIM; OMS; and payment platforms.
• Experience leading sales pursuits, proposals, client-facing solutioning, distributed technical teams, hiring, mentoring, and retention.
• Fluent English is required for Québec-based candidates because the role involves collaboration with teams across the Americas and occasionally Europe.

Nice to have

• Shopify Partner, Shopify Developer, or Shopify Plus Certification; certification is required or expected within six months of hire.
• AWS, Azure, or GCP Solutions Architect, TOGAF, SAFe, PMP, or equivalent certification.
