What you will do

• Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze applications and drive security improvements.
• Design, develop, and evaluate new security controls for a rapidly growing business.
• Perform incident response and hunt through log sources to identify and mitigate new threats.
• Design and implement custom detection strategies and workflows to support the incident response lifecycle.
• Deploy and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure projects and secure systems.
• Conduct digital forensic analysis and preserve evidence using investigative techniques.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in security engineering or incident response within a tech company.
• In-depth experience with at least one major cloud platform.
• Strong knowledge of common software development tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Comprehensive understanding of attacker tools, techniques, and prevention methods.
• Ability to explain complex technical security concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Must be based in San Francisco

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Recognized certifications such as OSCP, GIAC, or CEH.
• Experience with Splunk, Kubernetes, GCP, or Alibaba Cloud.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Kotlin.
• Experience with Okta, GSuite, and cloud-based VPN services.
