Technical Artist (Unreal Engine)

Location: Remote, Mexico; Mexico City

Salary: MXN 32,000–35,000 monthly gross

What you will do

• Create complex materials for characters, weapons, environments, and large world set pieces.
• Develop VFX assets, including FX concepts, prototypes, and final effects.
• Manage and set up Blueprints for interactable items, weapons, environments, and gameplay elements.
• Establish Unreal Engine 5 workflows and tools for artists creating unique assets.
• Collaborate with the art team, mentor peers, and support knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Strong reel with recent Technical Art and VFX work for video games; submission is required for consideration.
• 2–3 years of Technical Art experience using Unreal Engine 5 and Blueprints.
• Proficiency in Maya, 3DS Max, Photoshop, Houdini, and/or Substance Painter.
• Knowledge of PBR principles and material editors.
• Experience in one or more additional areas such as modeling, skinning, animation, proceduralism, scripting, or lighting.

Nice to have

• Additional scripting experience with C++, C#, or Python.
