What you will do

• Lead the transformation of the Databricks platform into an AI-ready foundation, strengthening ownership and scalability.
• Define and evolve enterprise-wide standards for data platform architecture, governance, security, and access management.
• Enable and guide domain data teams through technical leadership, architectural best practices, and data product standards.
• Contribute hands-on to the design and delivery of robust, scalable data platform capabilities and reusable patterns.
• Drive operational excellence and cost optimization, including governance of Databricks usage and consumption models.
• Identify and drive the adoption of new platform capabilities, AI technologies, and emerging data opportunities.

Requirements

• Experience designing, building, and operating modern cloud-based data platforms in large organizations or consulting.
• Strong expertise with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake.
• Solid software engineering skills in Python, SQL, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience establishing scalable platform architectures, governance frameworks, and operating models.
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
