What you will do

• Own the technical architecture and roadmap for the data platform, balancing scalability, cost, and velocity.
• Design high-scale frameworks and patterns using AWS serverless (Lambda, Fargate), Snowflake, and dbt.
• Lead complex cross-team technical initiatives spanning data engineering, analytics, and data science.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure for AI/ML workloads, including LLM frameworks and feature pipelines.
• Establish engineering standards for observability, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence organization-wide technical decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience at a senior or staff level in data or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud services and infrastructure as code (Terraform or CDK).
• Expert-level SQL and Snowflake knowledge, including performance tuning and cost optimization.
• Advanced Python skills for building reusable libraries, frameworks, and tooling.
• Experience with orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience operating data platforms at petabyte-level scale.
• Familiarity with data mesh or data product paradigms.
• Experience with FinOps practices and cloud cost management.
• Prior experience in a technical leadership role without direct reports.
• Contributions to open-source data tools or technical communities.
