What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, execute, and file ISDA, CSA, CDEA, GMRA, GMSLA, master confirmation, and related regulatory initial margin documentation.
• Manage documentation for equity derivatives and related ancillary documents.
• Review legal opinions on netting and collateral enforceability and liaise with external counsel.
• Develop negotiation strategies, lead complex and sensitive negotiations, and balance client and firm requirements.
• Work with the Franchise, Prime business, New Business Group, Client Services, front office, and other internal stakeholders.
• Mentor junior team members, improve controls and processes, manage risks, and build consensus across the firm.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or JD.
• At least four years of experience in legal or trading documentation, Credit, Risk, Treasury, or attorney/paralegal work within a law firm.
• Experience negotiating and reviewing detailed legal documents, particularly ISDA documentation and related credit support arrangements.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Commercial understanding of derivatives, repo, securities lending, and/or prime brokerage products and services.
• Proficiency with IT systems and the ability to adapt to databases and other systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with repurchase, securities lending, master confirmation, or prime services documentation.
• Knowledge of legal entities including funds, insurance companies, and pension funds.
