VMware Administrator (Virtualization)

TL;DR

VMware Administrator (Virtualization): Administering and optimizing HPE x86 infrastructure and VMware environments with an accent on installation, configuration, and lifecycle management. Focus on automating change management and ensuring security compliance in enterprise virtualized environments.

Location: Hybrid (3 times a week in Porto, Portugal). Must be based in Portugal with Portuguese/EU citizenship or a valid work permit.

What you will do

• Administer HPE x86 infrastructure, specifically Synergy and ProLiant systems.
• Manage the full lifecycle of servers, including installation, configuration, and patching.
• Design and maintain infrastructure services and networking topologies for virtualized environments.
• Utilize automation platforms to track and govern change management processes.
• Ensure infrastructure adherence to security policies and compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate within cross-functional teams to manage competing priorities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a VMware Administrator.
• Proven expertise in HPE x86 infrastructure (Synergy and ProLiant).
• Solid knowledge of networking topologies for enterprise virtualization.
• Experience with automation tools for infrastructure change management.
• English: B2 level fluency required.
• Must possess EU citizenship or a valid Portuguese work permit.
