TL;DR
Software Engineer - Infrastructure (GCP & Platform): Building and scaling the cloud infrastructure backbone for an AI-powered real estate decision platform with an accent on GCP services, CI/CD automation, and backend system reliability. Focus on optimizing release processes, managing containerized workloads, and implementing core infrastructure features like RBAC and job queues.
Location: Hybrid in Zürich, Switzerland. Swiss or EU citizenship is required.

What you will do
- Manage and evolve GCP infrastructure including Cloud Run, networking, IAM, TLS, and firewall rules.
- Develop backend features in Python and TypeScript related to core infrastructure such as RBAC and job queues.
- Own and simplify the end-to-end release process, encompassing staging, E2E tests, QA, and production deployments.
- Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and developer experience via tools like GitHub Actions.
- Lead incident response and on-call rotations to ensure high system uptime and reliability.
- Partner with IT/Security on infrastructure hardening, penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in infrastructure or platform engineering roles.
- Strong proficiency in GCP (compute, storage, networking, IAM) and container-based deployments (Docker).
- Proficiency in Python with experience working in production backend or data-oriented codebases.
- Experience managing production databases such as MongoDB and Redis.
- Proven ability to design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Must hold Swiss or EU citizenship.

- Experience with compute-intensive or scientific simulation workloads.
- Interest in climate tech, sustainability, or the built environment.
