Cloud System Engineer (AWS/Azure)

Location: Remote, Malaysia

Base pay range: 70,000–90,000 MYR

What you will do

• Monitor the performance, capacity, integrity, and timeliness of cloud-hosted SaaS services.
• Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation and provide Tier II/III incident support.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and remediate production issues to meet service-level agreements.
• Identify bottlenecks and tune system performance in collaboration with R&D and other stakeholders.
• Implement and monitor security controls aligned with SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 requirements.
• Maintain system documentation and use AI-enabled tools to improve operational efficiency while following data-privacy and AI-governance standards.

Requirements

• Information Technology qualification or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in IT service delivery and operations, including SaaS delivery models.
• At least 3 years of experience administering Windows and Linux production environments.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure public cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with IT service management procedures, including ITIL incident, problem, and request management.
• Knowledge of cloud-service cybersecurity principles, monitoring tools such as New Relic and Grafana, scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell, and AI system prompting and quality assessment.
