TL;DR
Staff Engineer (Rust/Web3): Developing and optimizing high-performance, low-latency core infrastructure for the Syncro project with an accent on Solana internals and network routing. Focus on reducing latency by design and in code, implementing high-availability systems, and leading multi-region bare-metal deployments.
Location: Remote (Global) or Hybrid (Cyprus). EU time zone required.

What you will do
- Own the architecture and develop core low-latency code using Rust.
- Optimize validator submission paths, network routing, and node co-location to minimize latency.
- Implement optimal algorithms and OS-level performance tuning, focusing on memory layout and lock-free concurrency.
- Lead multi-region rollouts on bare-metal and cloud infrastructure near client trading venues.
- Ensure system reliability through high availability (HA), automatic failover, and strict SLOs.
- Establish technical standards through rigorous design and code reviews.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building distributed backend infrastructure and low-latency production systems.
- Expertise in Rust (or C++/Go with a transition to Rust).
- Deep knowledge of Solana internals, including validator/TPU, SWQoS, and QUIC.
- Experience with trading, MEV, or market-data infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Linux, bare-metal/cloud (GCP/AWS), and Kubernetes.
- English: C1+ proficiency required.
Nice to have
- Experience with Solana validator operations or staking infrastructure.
- Knowledge of the MEV ecosystem, including relayers and block engines.
- Experience with SUI, Hyperliquid, or other high-throughput chains.
- Skills in low-level profiling and benchmarking using perf and flamegraphs.
