What you will do

• Define the engineering strategy and long-term technical vision for backend systems within the Yield squad.
• Own end-to-end delivery of core investment workflows, including client signup, investment, and redemption processes.
• Build and maintain mission-critical financial infrastructure, such as reconciliation controls, unit registries, and investment ledgers.
• Write high-quality, testable code ensuring seamless integration with external investment providers.
• Promote engineering best practices with a strong emphasis on API design and observability.
• Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, and Design teams to deliver an optimal business customer experience.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related software engineering major.
• Proven experience solving distributed systems challenges related to scalability, consistency, and latency.
• Mastery of backend technologies, specifically Kotlin, vert.x, Temporal, and Kafka.
• Experience with cloud technologies (GCP or AWS), including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with observability tooling such as Splunk, NewRelic, Prometheus, or Grafana.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, lending, payments, or credit products.
• Experience building SaaS product offerings as a platform.
