Software Development Engineer (AWS Networking)

What you will do

• Own the complete software development lifecycle, including defining, designing, building, testing, and operating new features.
• Build a new service using AWS technologies for global connectivity and network availability.
• Design and operate software supporting globally distributed servers, customers, and external networks.
• Develop scalable, reliable, secure, and cost-effective solutions for AWS Internet Edge connectivity.
• Use data to validate assumptions, solve problems at scale, and make technical decisions in an agile environment.
• Collaborate across AWS, share knowledge, and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Programming experience in at least one software programming language.
• Ability to work with distributed systems and communicate effectively across teams.
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers and developing pragmatic solutions in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
