What you will do

• Lead the creation of data platforms using Data Lakehouse architectures, specifically Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL, and Power BI.
• Design and implement scalable data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and analytics layers.
• Manage Microsoft Fabric reporting solutions, establishing medallion layering and CDC/mirroring.
• Enforce data-layer segregation for PII exclusion and maintain multi-tenant isolation.
• Lead complex migration efforts from legacy systems like AirTable and Smartsheet to Microsoft Fabric.
• Build and oversee AI-ready data pipelines, integrating GenAI, embeddings, and vector stores into data products.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in data engineering and business intelligence.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI.
• Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python for ETL/ELT workflows and automation.
• Expertise in Data Lakehouse concepts, medallion architecture, and dimensional modeling.
• Proven track record as a player-coach, leading projects while contributing hands-on.
• Must be based in Canada.
