What you will do

• Define the strategy, roadmap, and delivery for real-time detection systems and fraud management products.
• Scale and lead a high-performing engineering organization, managing both managers and senior individual contributors.
• Own the architecture and system quality to ensure reliability and scalability under high load.
• Partner with PM, Design, and Ops teams to prioritize the backlog and improve fraud detection rates.
• Drive engineering excellence by instituting standards for code quality, reviews, and automated checks.
• Manage operational excellence, including incident response, observability, and capacity planning.

Requirements

• 8+ years in back-end engineering and 2+ years in engineering management.
• Proven experience owning complex, distributed systems in production.
• Proficiency in Java, including multi-threading, high-concurrency patterns, and network programming.
• Deep experience with high-availability and high-throughput architectures.
• Proficiency with Spring / Spring Boot, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Background in Risk Management or Fintech product engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams (Frontend, Backend, Data/ML, SRE).
• Working knowledge of machine learning in production and strong data analysis skills.
• Polyglot engineering experience with Kotlin, Scala, Python, or Golang.
• Experience with Cassandra, Redis, Kafka, Flink, or Spark.
• Cloud expertise with AWS, GCP, or Alibaba Cloud.
