TL;DR
Engineering Lead / Manager, KYC (AI/Fintech): Lead the engineering direction for KYC systems that make onboarding safer, faster, and more efficient at scale, with an accent on automation, workflow systems, and AI-driven risk detection. Focus on designing reliable and scalable decisioning infrastructure, solving adversarial fraud problems, and mentoring engineers while collaborating across Product, Operations, Compliance, and Engineering.
Location: Singapore office, five days a week; relocation to Singapore required

What you will do
- Lead the engineering direction for KYC systems that improve onboarding safety, speed, and efficiency at scale.
- Build automation and workflow systems that streamline registration approval and reduce manual operational effort.
- Develop AI- and data-driven solutions for user-risk identification and fraud prevention.
- Partner with Product, Operations, Compliance, and Engineering to deliver technical solutions.
- Improve architecture, reliability, performance, scalability, and engineering quality.
- Mentor engineers and support the team’s technical growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong software engineering experience with Kotlin, Java, React, or TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience building scalable automation or workflow systems.
- Experience with architecture, code reviews, reliability, performance, scalability, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to mentor or guide engineers and act as a technical role model.
Nice to have
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers as a team lead or project lead.
- Experience applying AI or machine learning to automation or risk detection.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in fintech, payments, compliance, risk control, or user onboarding.
