Product Classification Engineer

TL;DR

Product Classification Engineer (Logistics/Compliance): Managing customs and export control classification for products, software, and raw materials with an accent on regulatory compliance and master data accuracy. Focus on determining HTS/HS codes, ECCN classifications, and supporting cross-functional teams during new product introduction cycles.

Location: Must be based in Frosinone, Italy (Hybrid work model).

Salary: Minimum €48,000 per year + 5% AIP target + Company Productivity Bonus.

What you will do

• Provide export control (ECCN/ECN) and customs (HTS/HS tariff code) classification for products and software.
• Manage and update master data for technologies and products to support customs entries.
• Collaborate with Procurement, R&D, and Sales teams to resolve classification-related inquiries.
• Monitor and implement changes in the regulatory framework affecting product classification.
• Support the Local Trade Compliance Officer with ad hoc classification tasks.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Frosinone, Italy.
• Proficiency in both Italian and English is required.
• Solid knowledge of customs and export control regulations.
• Experience with SAP and MS Office.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in data management.
