Senior Civil Engineer (Water Resources)

Location: Marysville, California, United States; primarily office-based with regular field visits and travel to project sites and client meetings.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead technical design, modeling, and analysis for water resources and land development engineering projects.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Oversee field investigations, data collection, and construction oversight, including work in varying weather and terrain conditions.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules with project managers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients and municipalities, and contribute to proposals and business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 8–12 years of industry experience with water resources and land development projects.
• California Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, modeling tools, and CAD design software.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and guiding project teams.
• Strong technical writing, communication, analytical, project management, budgeting, and scheduling skills.

Nice to have

• PLS or GE certification.
