Senior Civil Engineer (Water Resources)

Location: Marysville, California, United States; primarily office-based with regular field visits to project sites and client meetings.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead technical design, modeling, and analysis for water resources and land development projects.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
• Oversee field investigations, data collection, construction oversight, and project-site visits.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules with project managers.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
• Mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients, and support proposals and business development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience with water resources and land development projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering principles, modeling tools, and CAD design software.
• Experience mentoring staff and managing complex projects, budgets, and timelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills in office and field settings.
