What you will do

• Lead the planning and execution of complex AI/ML projects involving biological, genomic, and clinical healthcare data.
• Develop strategic visions for applying cutting-edge AI methodologies, including generative AI and LLMs.
• Collaborate with biostatisticians and bioinformatics scientists to design and deploy software solutions.
• Establish an Agile framework for rapid iterative delivery of AI technology prototypes.
• Mentor and coach junior team members while providing technical leadership across the solution lifecycle.
• Contribute to the intellectual property portfolio through innovative problem-solving.

Requirements

• PhD in Statistics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field (or Master's + 4 years experience).
• 5+ years of experience in statistics, computational biology, and AI/ML algorithms.
• Mastery of deep learning, reinforcement learning, NLP, and computer vision.
• Expertise in transformer architecture and retrieval augmented generation (RAG).
• Strong programming skills in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or SKLearn.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of experience in life sciences or molecular diagnostics, specifically cancer diagnostics.
• Expertise in healthcare data mining.
• Knowledge of ML-Ops and model versioning/deployment processes.
• Scientific understanding of cancer biology.
