TL;DR
Middle Java Engineer (Spring Boot): Building and maintaining backend microservices for an Argentinian insurance company with an accent on secure integrations and data-driven services. Focus on designing RESTful APIs, SOAP integrations, and optimizing relational database performance.
Location: Fully Remote (Must be based in Argentina)

What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain backend microservices and APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
- Translate functional requirements into detailed designs, data models, and secure, reusable code.
- Develop Unit, Integration, and Acceptance tests to ensure application security and reliability.
- Integrate and troubleshoot REST/SOAP services, databases, and messaging systems.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and operations teams throughout the full application lifecycle.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve system performance and scalability.
Requirements
- 3+ years of backend Java experience with Spring Boot and microservices.
- Strong knowledge of DDD, OOP, and common design patterns.
- Proficiency in RESTful API development and SOAP integrations.
- Strong SQL skills and experience in relational database design.
- Spanish: Native proficiency required
- English: Intermediate level (B1) required
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms, especially Azure.
- Knowledge of messaging brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases.
- Experience in the insurance or financial services domain.
