Java QA Automation Engineer (Banking)

What you will do

• Build API and integration test coverage for Java/Spring routers and database workflows.
• Design and maintain Playwright end-to-end tests for critical user journeys and expand coverage across untested UI and workflow areas.
• Create stable mocking and fixture strategies using MSW, seeded test data, and reusable test fixtures.
• Set up CI quality gates for linting, unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, coverage, and reporting.
• Build LLM evaluation practices using golden datasets, output reliability tracking, drift detection, and measurable release thresholds.
• Use LangChain4j, Langfuse, OpenTelemetry, the OpenAI Java SDK, Promptfoo, Jackson, and Swagger annotations for LLM QA, tracing, validation, regression testing, and guardrails.

Requirements

• 3+ years of QA automation experience for production systems.
• Strong Java backend testing and frontend testing skills.
• Experience building and maintaining Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium end-to-end test suites.
• API testing experience covering REST, schema validation, authentication, and error scenarios.
• Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL testing and test data management.
• CI/CD pipeline experience with GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, or Jenkins.
• Practical understanding of testing non-deterministic LLM outputs.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Java-compatible LLM evaluation and regression tools such as Promptfoo and Langfuse, including trace-based observability and output validation through API/OpenTelemetry integrations.
• Performance and benchmark testing experience.
• WebSocket testing experience.
• Security and dependency scanning awareness.
• Experience in legal-tech, fintech, or other regulated domains.
