What you will do

• Administer and optimize AWS cloud databases including MySQL, Aurora, MongoDB, MSSQL, and DynamoDB.
• Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.
• Develop automation scripts using AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, and Terraform to streamline database management.
• Monitor performance, manage indexing, and optimize queries to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with development teams to design scalable database solutions that meet business requirements.
• Plan and execute data migrations from on-premises databases to cloud platforms.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Database Engineer with a focus on AWS and MongoDB Atlas.
• Proficiency in MySQL, Aurora, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and DynamoDB.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with AWS core services such as RDS, EC2, S3, and IAM.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Database - Specialty or similar certifications.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with database migration and upgrade projects.
