What you will do
- Administer, maintain, and optimize cloud databases hosted on AWS and MongoDB Atlas.
- Manage MySQL, Aurora MySQL, MongoDB, MSSQL, and DynamoDB environments for scalability, availability, and security.
- Monitor and tune database performance through indexing, query optimization, caching, and health monitoring.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, security, and data integrity strategies.
- Automate database operations with AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, Terraform, and scripting.
- Plan migrations between on-premises databases and cloud platforms, troubleshoot issues, and document configurations and procedures.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in database engineering with cloud-hosted databases, especially AWS and MongoDB Atlas.
- Proficiency with MySQL, Aurora MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, DynamoDB, and AWS services including RDS, EC2, S3, and IAM.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in the Chengdu location.
Nice to have
- AWS Certified Database – Specialty or a similar certification.
- Experience with database migration and upgrade projects.
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
