Financial Capabilities Intern (Unpaid)

hirify.global is a humanitarian non-governmental organization supporting refugees and immigrants through resettlement and community services in the United States and other countries.

What you will do

• Provide one-on-one financial coaching and counseling to clients.
• Conduct budgets and financial surveys with participants.
• Track client notes and progress in spreadsheets and ETO software.
• Communicate with clients in person and by phone.
• Facilitate monthly financial literacy workshops.
• Accompany clients to bank appointments and follow confidentiality and privacy policies.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Be currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution or have graduated from one within the last two years.
• Be available for at least 15 hours per week.
• High school diploma required.
• Basic digital literacy proficiency.
• Prior personal financial management, counseling, or coaching experience is preferred; bilingual ability is required, with Spanish or Haitian Creole highly preferred.
