Salary: $106,700 – $150,000 / year

What you will do

• Analyze the security posture of policyholders and provide actionable recommendations to reduce cyber risk.
• Advise CISOs and IT Directors on security architecture, cloud security, and control effectiveness.
• Provide technical support for security products, guiding users on leveraging product capabilities.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to codify security best practices into underwriting algorithms and risk apps.
• Identify root-cause claim indicators and patterns to recommend process improvements.
• Mentor peers and lead team initiatives related to toolset enhancement and methodology updates.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in security analysis, security engineering, or incident response.
• Deep understanding of network threats, attack vectors, and methods of exploitation (TTPs).
• Proven ability to quantify security risk and translate technical risks into business terms.
• Experience with security tooling such as vulnerability scanners, SIEM, and log analysis tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Must be based in Canada

Nice to have

• Experience with offensive tools like Nmap, Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite, or Metasploit.
• Expertise in securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and system hardening for Windows/Linux.
• Scripting skills in Python, Go, or Bash to automate security analysis.
• Experience with SCADA or industrial control systems (ICS) networks.
• Background in cyber insurance, risk scoring, or security consulting for financial services.
