What you will do

• Converse with AI models on real-world BSL scenarios and theoretical linguistic questions.
• Verify linguistic accuracy, BSL grammar, syntax, and cultural appropriateness.
• Capture and document reproducible error traces to harden model reasoning.
• Suggest improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.
• Analyze non-manual markers, facial expressions, and spatial grammar in model outputs.

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in British Sign Language (BSL).
• Deep understanding of Deaf culture, visual linguistics, and regional BSL variations.
• Ability to provide clear, metacognitive communication and document work processes.
• Access to a secure computer and high-speed internet.
• Degree in Deaf Studies, Sign Language Interpreting, Linguistics, or related field is preferred.
