What you will do

• Design and evolve the platform access architecture for a large-scale distributed ecosystem.
• Build and maintain a unified API layer over multiple distributed services.
• Implement fine-grained ABAC authorization supporting complex hierarchies and relationships.
• Develop fail-closed security architectures with strict enforcement guarantees.
• Manage regional compliance, data residency, and routing requirements.
• Design high-performance authorization evaluation systems and policy engines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building distributed systems.
• Strong expertise in Java development and security architecture.
• Experience designing API platforms or API gateways.
• Proven background with authorization systems (RBAC/ABAC) and multi-tenant architectures.
• English: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher required.
• Must be based in Europe or Ukraine.

Nice to have

• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) or service mesh architectures.
• Knowledge of policy engines such as OPA.
• Experience with GCP or other major cloud providers.
• Background in regulated or high-security environments.
