What you will do

• Design and build end-to-end features using AWS, K8S, Ruby on Rails, Python, and Vue.js.
• Architect distributed systems and microservices using Kafka for event-driven architecture.
• Drive high-impact engineering initiatives and align technical solutions with business and reliability requirements.
• Lead the scaling of production Rails environments while architecting new greenfield components.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on development best practices and complex system design.
• Own operational reliability through monitoring, incident response, and performance tuning.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience developing production applications with Ruby/Python (Rails, FastAPI) and Vue.js in TypeScript.
• Strong expertise in designing and maintaining microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka and event-driven systems.
• Proficiency in MySQL, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
• Familiarity with AWS and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Helm.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Budapest.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in the maritime or logistics domain.
• Exposure to DevOps tooling such as GitHub Actions and SonarQube.
