What you will do
- Develop, qualify, and deploy test applications and hardware/software tools for design feedback and process control.
- Conduct magnetic recording experiments to characterize performance and reliability.
- Perform data analysis of experimental results and present findings to Recording Head Development teams.
- Conceive and implement engineering solutions to support R&D operations.
- Exercise independent judgment in defining methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in the US and UK.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of electromagnetics and electronics.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python and C.
- Experience with automated data collection, processing, and analysis of large datasets.
- Fluent in English communication (spoken and written).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Nice to have
- Experience using measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
