Data Operations Analyst (E-commerce)

TL;DR

Data Operations Analyst (SQL/BI): Processing and validating e-commerce transactional data across 40+ countries with an accent on data extraction and quality assurance. Focus on building RegEx-based extractors, optimizing SQL queries, and developing BI dashboards to uncover consumer insights.

Location: Hybrid in Sofia, Bulgaria (3 days remote, 2 days office)

Salary: EUR 1,450 - 1,650 monthly

What you will do

• Build and fine-tune data extractors using proprietary markup language and RegEx to parse e-receipts.
• Conduct comprehensive data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency using SQL and BI tools.
• Investigate anomalies in transactional data and prepare actionable reports for client-facing teams.
• Write and optimize SQL queries and develop dashboards for large-scale analysis.
• Collaborate with developers and analysts to automate processes and improve operational workflows.

Requirements

• Initial experience in data operations, analytics, or tech-related roles (internships or projects).
• Basic SQL skills, including writing simple queries and understanding table structures.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong logical and analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Must be based in Sofia, Bulgaria to support the hybrid work model.

Nice to have

• Experience with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, HTML, XML, or RegEx.
• Previous experience in QA or data validation.
• Knowledge of e-commerce data and industry trends.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
