Data Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

Data Engineer (AI/ML Infrastructure): Designing and developing cloud-native data infrastructure to power AI/ML models with an accent on scalability, data quality, and cost efficiency. Location: Hybrid (The Hague, Netherlands) - minimum 2 days a week in office

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines that power AI/ML models within hirify.global products.
• Build and maintain cloud-native data platforms integrating various internal and external data sources.
• Optimize data pipelines for reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency to support growing data volumes.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data and ML workloads in collaboration with MLOps and DevOps teams.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, and Software Engineers to integrate data infrastructure with ML workflows.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and fluency in English.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines and workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
• Solid knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, data modeling, and schema design.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud platform (preferably GCP).
• Must be based in or able to work from the The Hague office at least 2 days a week.

Nice to have

• Exposure to big data frameworks such as Spark or Beam.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices.
