What you will do

• Provide technical leadership to help customers solve complex business problems using the Databricks platform.
• Consult on Big Data architectures and implement proof of concepts for data engineering, data science, and machine learning workflows.
• Validate integrations with cloud services, proprietary tools, and third-party applications.
• Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to develop best practices and support end-users.
• Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks-inspired open-source projects such as Spark, Delta Lake, and MLflow.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or pre-sales consulting.
• Proven experience building distributed data systems.
• Proficiency in programming and debugging using Python and SQL.
• Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in either Data Engineering (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) or ML technologies (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Available to travel to customers within your region.

• Degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research).
