What you will do

• Own the technical roadmap for the data platform, balancing immediate delivery with long-term scalability.
• Develop analytics and data accessibility solutions for internal engineering teams and external stakeholders.
• Establish high standards for data quality, validation, governance, and observability.
• Mentor and grow a team of analytics and data engineers through technical guidance and career development.
• Partner with engineering leadership on planning, prioritization, and headcount strategy.
• Research and integrate big data technologies to enhance platform capabilities and drive build-vs-buy decisions.

Requirements

• Management experience building and leading engineering teams.
• Extensive experience building and operating production-grade data platforms.
• Proficiency with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or dbt.
• Experience with workflow orchestration tools like Airflow or Argo Workflows.
• Strong expertise in Python, Shell, and SQL.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
