TL;DR

Location: 100% U.S. based remote. Candidates from CA, CO, IL, MN, NJ, NY, OR, or WA will not be considered. U.S. Citizenship required.
Salary: $85,389 - $116,975

What you will do
- Build, support, and migrate a cloud-based Web Dashboard application processing healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions.
- Design and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and/or NodeJS to retrieve, transform, and serve healthcare records.
- Develop and maintain the Angular-based frontend, ensuring accurate data surfacing for business and clinical users.
- Collaborate with C#/.Net and AWS data engineers to define API contracts and ensure reliable data delivery.
- Perform unit and integration testing across backend services and API layers.
- Promote software engineering best practices within an Agile framework using Git and GitHub.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is strictly required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.
- 8+ years of software development experience with a strong backend focus (Java and/or NodeJS).
- Proven experience building RESTful APIs that consume and transform structured data (XML, JSON) in healthcare or enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with Angular for frontend UI development and API integration.
- Proficiency with AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, S3, and CloudWatch.
Nice to have
- Experience with X.12 medical claims (837, 834, 277, etc).
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and accessibility standards (Section 508/WCAG 2.1).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) and C#/.Net backend services.
- Experience with healthcare payer, Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) systems, or clearinghouses.
