What you will do

• Act as a trusted advisor to regional managers to guide human resources strategy and scaling efforts.
• Support employees and managers throughout their entire lifecycle in collaboration with specialist People teams.
• Foster a high-performance culture while ensuring employee relations are managed according to local Japanese laws and practices.
• Build and implement scalable programs and policies to attract, retain, and grow top-tier talent.
• Partner with legal, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal office operations.
• Oversee local compliance requirements, including background checks and immigration processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Employee Relations.
• Fluency in both Japanese and English.
• Proven experience in a global company with deep knowledge of Japan and APAC-specific HR policies.
• Professional background in tech companies, startups, or other fast-paced environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be based in Tokyo, Japan.
