What you will do
- Act as a trusted advisor to regional managers to guide human resources strategy and scaling efforts.
- Support employees and managers throughout their entire lifecycle in collaboration with specialist People teams.
- Foster a high-performance culture while ensuring employee relations are managed according to local Japanese laws and practices.
- Build and implement scalable programs and policies to attract, retain, and grow top-tier talent.
- Partner with legal, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal office operations.
- Oversee local compliance requirements, including background checks and immigration processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR, People Operations, or Employee Relations.
- Fluency in both Japanese and English.
- Proven experience in a global company with deep knowledge of Japan and APAC-specific HR policies.
- Professional background in tech companies, startups, or other fast-paced environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Must be based in Tokyo, Japan.
