What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks and test tooling across frontend and backend systems.
• Write clean, production-quality code in JavaScript/TypeScript to extend test coverage and improve developer productivity.
• Build and optimize quality gates within CI/CD pipelines to ensure early issue detection.
• Partner with development teams to identify automation opportunities and bake testability into new features.
• Develop and maintain reliable unit, integration, end-to-end, and contract tests.
• Mentor engineers and champion automation best practices and overall quality engineering strategy.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background with a solid grasp of quality assurance principles.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks for frontend and backend applications.
• Excellent JavaScript/TypeScript skills for writing clean, efficient, and well-structured code.
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Jest, and Pact.
• Experience testing APIs, 3rd-party integrations, and building automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be based in the UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with load and performance testing platforms.
• Familiarity with MongoDB and test data management.
• Experience with Snowflake and data integration pipeline testing.
• Understanding of AWS or other cloud-based architectures.
• Experience with containerization (Docker), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), or testing SAP integrations.
