What you will do

• Act as the lead lawyer on complex, high-value commercial transactions with a focus on the German market.
• Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice on projects, contracts, and legislative changes to mitigate business risk.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding legal issues and escalations.
• Develop standard contracts and ensure business activities comply with regulatory, governance, and competition policies.
• Collaborate with the European Legal team on disputes, product launches, and employment issues.
• Engage and direct external legal providers when necessary to support business objectives.

Requirements

• English: C1 proficiency required.
• German: B2 (upper-intermediate) proficiency required.
• Qualified lawyer with a strong background in German law.
• Ability to manage complex workloads and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex legal issues.
• Must be based in Budapest, Hungary or willing to work from the Budapest office.

Nice to have

• Specialization in EU or international IT law.
• Approximately 3 years of Post Qualified Experience (PQE).
• Experience with legal-tech AI solutions and common digital application standards.
• Prior experience in an international corporate environment.
