TL;DR

Senior Human Resource Director (HRBP): Driving strategic and tactical HR initiatives for client groups and vertical markets with an accent on HR consulting and coaching for local business leadership. Focus on implementing business-specific HR programs, managing talent lifecycles, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws.

Location: Hybrid in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (office attendance average 4 days a week)

What you will do

  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to the HR function within the Malaysia office.
  • Partner with management and finance to align HR expertise with business operations and profitability.
  • Manage the full talent lifecycle including acquisition, onboarding, performance appraisals, and yearly talent reviews.
  • Oversee training, development, employee relations, and retention programs.
  • Design and implement HR policies and procedures to foster a collaborative and successful work environment.
  • Coordinate with the Global Learning and Education team (APAC HQ) and local legal counsel on employment matters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Psychology, HR, or an equivalent discipline.
  • 10-12 years of HR Business Partnering experience with strong business acumen.
  • 3-6 years of experience in a management role.
  • Sound knowledge of local labour laws in Malaysia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations and documentation.
  • Experience in multi-national organizations and agency backgrounds is a significant advantage.
