What you will do

• Integrate and optimize multiple TTS vendor APIs and prototype in-house or open-source TTS architectures.
• Apply phonetics and sociolinguistics expertise to format TTS input for maximum naturalness using SSML.
• Craft context-specific utterances to optimize conversational turn handling and caller trust.
• Design and manage LLM and TTS prompts to define agent personalities across various industry verticals.
• Architect logic to expose voice attributes like speed, pitch, and tone to the product UI.
• Partner with ASR and Audio AI engineers to minimize latency in the end-to-end voice pipeline.

Requirements

• Must be based in Vancouver, Canada (Hybrid schedule)
• 3+ years of experience in Speech Synthesis (TTS) or Voice Design.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch.
• Hands-on experience with TTS frameworks (NVIDIA NeMo, ESPnet, Coqui) and APIs (ElevenLabs, Rime, Cartesia).
• Degree in Computational Linguistics, Computer Science, or AI/ML with a deep understanding of phonetics and prosody.
• Proven experience crafting LLM prompts and managing structured prompt templates.
