TL;DR
Senior ML Engineer (AI): Developing and optimizing search algorithms, recommendation systems, and marketing automation tools for a global cross-border marketplace with an accent on relevance, scalability, and high-load processing. Focus on implementing modern LLMs, PyTorch models, and distributed data pipelines to enhance user experience and marketing effectiveness.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal. Relocation support is provided.

What you will do
- Improve core search algorithms and enhance the system's understanding of user queries to increase product relevance.
- Develop and optimize recommendation systems for B2B and B2C marketplaces.
- Automate and optimize marketing effectiveness for both external advertising and internal communications (push/email).
- Design, develop, and debug distributed high-load applications using Go, Python, and Scala.
- Conduct end-to-end ML development, including raw data analysis, hypothesis formulation, and production deployment.
Requirements
- Strong algorithmic skills, including fundamental data structures and their standard library implementations.
- Experience developing and debugging distributed, high-load applications with testable code.
- Industry experience in Machine Learning (linear models, GBDT, DNN) and statistics.
- Proven experience in end-to-end ML development from data analysis to production.
- Must be based in or be able to relocate to Lisbon, Portugal.
Nice to have
- Experience in developing search or recommendation systems.
- Experience training neural network models.
- Proficiency with data sources like Spark, Cassandra, MongoDB, or Kafka.
- Knowledge of the Go programming language.
