Technical Architect (Cloud-Native)

TL;DR

Technical Architect (Cloud-Native): Designing and integrating open-source middleware platforms for European data initiatives with an accent on Kubernetes-based infrastructure, data sovereignty, and secure API governance. Focus on translating complex governance and functional requirements into scalable, interoperable architecture across heterogeneous technical stacks.

Location: Must be an EU citizen, located in Poland, and willing to commute to the office in Katowice.

Salary: 18,000–22,000 PLN gross/month (UoP) or 135–180 PLN/h net + VAT (B2B).

What you will do

• Design and maintain architecture views for distributed platforms, covering functional, logical, and deployment aspects.
• Implement secure integration patterns using Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps methodologies.
• Define API governance strategies and data exchange standards to ensure interoperability across European initiatives.
• Architect secure identity federation solutions using Keycloak, OIDC, and OAuth2.
• Develop operational playbooks, monitoring strategies, and disaster recovery plans for platform components.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate governance and non-functional needs into technical specifications.

Requirements

• EU citizenship required.
• Must be based in Poland and willing to commute to the Katowice office.
• At least 4 years of experience in solution and integration architecture for distributed platforms.
• Deep understanding of Cloud-Native patterns and Kubernetes environments.
• Proven experience with Data Space concepts, data sovereignty, and secure large-scale data processing.
• Strong background in secure architecture design using Keycloak and RBAC/ABAC.
• Proficiency in UML and architectural modeling tools like Enterprise Architect.
• English proficiency at B2/C1 level.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Eclipse Dataspace Connector (EDC) or Gaia-X components.
• Knowledge of data anonymization, pseudonymization, and automated quality validation.
• Experience contributing to Open Source projects.
• Background in bridging Cloud/Middleware architectures with High-Performance Computing (HPC).
