What you will do

• Identify, negotiate, and close strategic institutional deals with Japanese megabanks, securities firms, and payment providers.
• Own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy and brand positioning for Monad in Japan.
• Build and nurture relationships with key regional stakeholders, including regulators, media, and ecosystem partners.
• Translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable business opportunities.
• Represent the foundation as the senior lead in the country, ensuring commercial discipline and clear usage paths for all partnerships.

Requirements

• 8+ years of business development experience, with at least 4 years in blockchain or Web3.
• Native-level Japanese and professional English proficiency are mandatory.
• Proven track record of closing large, complex institutional deals within the Japanese financial sector.
• Deep understanding of the Japanese regulatory landscape (FSA, JVCEA) and institutional digital asset strategy.
• Robust senior-level network across Japanese financial institutions and enterprises.
• Must be based in Japan (Tokyo).
