TL;DR

Associate Creative Director (FMCG): Leading the verbal identity and strategic messaging for client accounts with an accent on high-impact narratives and conceptual storytelling. Focus on mentoring a team of copywriters and translating complex marketing strategies into actionable, persuasive messages across multiple media channels.

Location: Hybrid (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia). Teams are in the office an average of four days a week.

What you will do

  • Lead the ideation and development of breakthrough creative concepts and campaign platforms from a copy-first perspective.
  • Write and oversee high-quality, persuasive copy for digital, social, traditional advertising, and CRM channels.
  • Translate complex marketing strategies into clear and compelling brand voices and messages.
  • Mentor and guide a team of copywriters, providing constructive feedback to ensure creative excellence.
  • Present and sell creative concepts and copy strategies directly to clients.
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Designers, and Strategists to ensure integrated creative solutions.

Requirements

  • 8-12+ years of agency experience in copywriting or copy-focused leadership roles.
  • A diverse portfolio showcasing exceptional copywriting and successful integrated campaigns.
  • Proven ability to generate "big ideas" and translate them into verbal concepts.
  • Deep understanding of marketing strategy and consumer insights to solve business problems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, English, Journalism, or Communications.
  • Location: Must be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
