Quantity Surveyor (Construction)

What you will do

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQ) for construction projects.
• Monitor project costs, track variations, and prepare interim and final valuations to ensure financial control.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to resolve cost-related issues.
• Manage final accounts, including settlement of contractor claims and dispute resolution.
• Administer contracts, including drafting tender documents, evaluating bids, and negotiating terms.
• Ensure compliance with Cyprus construction regulations, building codes, and health & safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the Cyprus construction industry.
• Fluency in English and Greek (written and spoken) is essential.
• Familiarity with Cyprus construction laws, tendering processes, and contract types (e.g., FIDIC).
• Proficiency in QS software (CostX, Bluebeam, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Membership with the Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (ΕΤΕΚ) or RICS is a plus.

Nice to have

• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling).
• Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and green building certifications.
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or commercial projects in Cyprus.
