What you will do

• Create gameplay, AI, and scripted animations using keyframe and augmented mocap techniques.
• Implement and optimize animation work within the Unreal Engine.
• Collaborate with programmers and designers to develop and refine the animation pipeline.
• Develop high-quality animations for human bipedal figures, organic forms, quadrupedal creatures, and mechanical objects.
• Mentor, coach, and train junior animators to maintain project standards.
• Research and document findings to share knowledge and solve everyday animation challenges.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Senior Animator on a AAA title.
• Exemplary skills in keyframe and stylized 3D animation using Maya and/or Motion Builder.
• Experience with Unreal Engine for animation implementation and debugging.
• Strong understanding of character performance, anatomy, caricature, and silhouettes.
• Exceptional knowledge of creating and maintaining gameplay and AI systems in game engines.
• Professional proficiency in both French and English (for Quebec-based candidates).

Nice to have

• Experience with hand-keyed facial animation and tools such as Jali.
• Experience structuring and maintaining rigging or prototyping processes.
