Location: Must be based in or able to work from Malta, Cape Town, Spain, Bulgaria, or Poland. The role requires a full-time commitment from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (CEST).

Salary: €40,000–€60,000 EUR

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end financial crime investigations triggered by transaction monitoring and blockchain analytics tools.
• Review sanctions and watchlist screening alerts for entities and individuals.
• Draft and submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to relevant authorities.
• Identify and implement workflow improvements using AI tools and automation.
• Provide coaching and escalations support to junior team members.
• Collaborate with transaction monitoring teams to test and refine system rules.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in crypto transaction monitoring within a regulated B2B institution.
• Strong knowledge of AML/CTF regulations, financial crime typologies, and risk-based frameworks.
• Proficiency with blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, Elliptic, or TRM.
• Experience reviewing sanctions and watchlist screening alerts.
• Exceptional written and verbal English proficiency.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with competing priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience in both crypto and fiat transaction monitoring environments.
• Knowledge of Trade Surveillance.
