TL;DR

HR Business Partner (Employee Relations): Executing people strategies to retain talent and coaching employees and managers on HR policies with an accent on employee relations investigations and performance management. Focus on driving organizational optimization, leadership development, and maintaining strict confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Hawthorne, CA. This is not a remote or hybrid position and will require relocation if not already local to the Hawthorne, CA area

Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 per year

What you will do

  • Respond to employee inquiries and complaints, providing guidance on employee relations and performance management.
  • Partner with senior leaders on workforce analytics, organizational optimization, and leadership development.
  • Collaborate with HR functional experts to optimize recruiting, training, compensation, and benefits programs.
  • Facilitate internal transfers and promotions while conducting exit interviews to support retention.
  • Create and implement human resources policies and processes.
  • Manage employee files and HR transactions within Workday.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2+ years of human resources experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to conform to ITAR regulations.
  • Ability to work onsite in Hawthorne, CA.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and travel to other SpaceX locations.

Nice to have

  • Experience in engineering, production, or manufacturing environments supporting exempt and hourly workforces.
  • Familiarity with Workday, Greenhouse, or UltiPro.
  • Demonstrated success in independently handling employee relations issues.
